The Royal Marines Association Riders Branch along with members of the Dutch Marines Brotherhood pay their respects to the Memorial
100th Anniversary of the Raid on Zeebrugge, Belgium by the Royal Marines and Royal Navy
The raid took place on the night of the 22nd and into the morning of 23 of April 1918 under the command of Vice-Admiral Sir Roger Keyes against the German submarine pens.
11 Victoria Crosses were awarded during the action, with two being awarded to the Royal Marines in place of the proposed awarding of VCs to the whole of the 4th Battalion Royal Marines.
