TRUK, an international disaster response charity based in Chilmark, Wiltshire, is stepping up to help the UK to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
Re-purposing their military skills and disaster response expertise, they have established a national incident management cell to match the unmet needs of local communities across the nation with of offers of support and resources. They are also creating a database of former military veterans who are volunteering during the pandemic response to work with the Voluntary and Community Sector as well as the Government’s Local Resilience Forums.
