Former Royal Marine Lee 'Frank' Spencer, a lower limb amputee, re-creates for the first time his arctic training with Ice Breaking Drills, also known as a Norwegian Ice Bath during the inaugural
Juleferie 2017.
The Ice Breaking is an essential part of learning to survive in frozen environments. Arctic training enables the Royal Marines to play the vital role of protecting the Northern Border of NATO.
The Royal Marines Club's winter deployment to the Rondane National Park, Norway sees deserving veteran and serving Royal Marines families enjoy a Christmas break as part of the Royal Marines Club commitment to overcoming post conflict mental and physical trauma.
